I seem to produce more mucus than I ever use to. What do you think could be causing this?

Do you have any suggestions?

My mom talked with Louie and he suggested I try mouthpiece ventilation. While I'm open to the idea, I'm not sure how this would help me out, for a short period I tried a mouthpiece but I remember that my lips couldn't create a seal. Could you please explain this a little more?

Difficulty swallowing saliva causes this.

Use a 15 mm angled mouthpiece for daytime ventilation rather than a nose piece.

20% of people's lips ARE too weak and only nasal NVS is practical.

Dr. Bach, if only are available a nose piece. There a configuration of BiPAP that disminish the mucus by bad swallowing of saliva?

Some people's lips are too weak for mouth piece ventilation and need to use nasal prongs for daytime support. Difficulties with mucus are caused by dysphagia (swallowing problems), reflux, and allergies. Go to a center for noninvasive management on http://www.breatheNVS.com for assistance.
